You Can Hurt Me Any Time You Want!
Kaitlyn started something new in the past week. When she hurts me accidentally, like by running her car over my toes or bumping a toy into my hand, she'll say, "Wawry, Mommy!" (Translation: "Sorry, Mommy!") I get a kick out of it every time. I love the tenderness it shows--that she is actually aware of the fact that she has hurt me and apologizes for it. I don't think the boys have even mastered that skill yet!
In fact, just last night we were discussing the need to try to develop in the boys a greater level of consciousness towards the needs and feelings of others. Maybe a little impact awareness, too. Any ideas?
