More Food Tales

A little addendum to my last blog:

Cotter at the dinner table tonight, while staring at the plate of extra hot dogs: "Well, I already had 2 hot dogs, so that's enough. Isn't it?" Translation: "I'd really like another one, but I'm pretty sure we have a 2-hotdog-max in this family. I might as well end it with a question on the off-chance I'll get another."

Meanwhile, Aidan, who ate two hot dogs, an apple, some baked beans, a half of a cob of corn and an extra piece of toast, asked for another dog, too, albeit a little less subtly. He didn't get any farther than Cotter did.
